本課程討論高等植物病理及誘導抗病性相關文章，作一小時報告及一小時問題討論。討論主題如下：
The aim of this course is to discuss current papers about advanced plant pathology and induced disease resistance. One hour oral report, one hour for questions and discussion. The topics of discussion as follows:

Common mechanisms for pathogens of plants and animals.
Programmed cell death, mitochondria and the plant hypersensitive response.
Plant pathogens and integrated defence responses to infection.
Transcription factors in plant defense and stress responses.
Agrobacterium and plant gene involved in T-DNA transfer and integration.
Pathogen fitness penalty as a predictor of durability of disease resistance genes.
Co-evolution and plant resistance to natural enemies.
Host-selective toxins and avirulence.
Surface-to-air signals.
Natural products and plant disease resistance.
Systemic acquired resistance/Induced systemic resistance.
Reactive oxygen species involving in induced disease resistance of plants.
